This tour is a full day excursion to Montepulciano and Pienza, which is in the Tuscany region of Italy. Montepulciano is famous world-wide for two excellent wines, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano and Rosso di Montepulciano. This hill town has great charm and is built on the ridge of Monte Poliziano in Sienna, right in the heart of Tuscany. If you want a true taste of Italy, you will find it here!

Next we will drive to Pienza which is a rare find of Renaissance building. It has been called the "Utopian City" as it represents one of the best planned Renaissance towns. The credit for the beauty of this town goes to Enea Silvio Piccolomini who became Pope Pius II. During his Papacy, he changed the entire city into a Papal residence and allowed Bernardo Gambarelli to help construct the town.
